Living

- A site for all of the updates in the Living With Gusto world including
new items for sale, updates on the activities of the foundation, new
information on feline heath, and general information.
The Merck
Veterinary Manual
http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/index.jsp
- A good source
for in depth, technical information. It is not always easy for the average
person to find what they are looking for because the information is
listed according to scientific names rather than the common names and
broken down by many sub groups. However, all of the information is accurate
and up to date and the search feature works very well. If you are looking
for the next step in information on a condition this is the place to
go. (ALL Animals)
Feeding Your Cat: Know the
Basics of Feline Nutrition
http://www.catinfo.org/ - This
site is exactly what it says, a well laid out basic overview of feline
nutrition. There is a great deal of information on one page and it can
be overwhelming and the formatting is a little difficult on some Web-browsers,
but it is well worth it for the information. We have found no other
sites that give such a comprehensive well laid out overview. The there
is a section on preparing home made cat food which an owner must seriously
consider and discuss with the cat's vet before attempting.
Books
The
Cornell Books of Cats
The
Cornell Books of Cats - Written by the Cornell College of Veterinary
Medicine. This book covers normal behavior to emergency first aid and
everything in between. Almost 500 pages will take you through the anatomy,
requirements, and ailments of your cat from selecting a kitten to the
geriatric cat. Dedicated cat owners will find something in it every
week if not everyday. A Must.
